Obedience

"Is it not true that if you do what is right, you will be fine? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. It desires to dominate you, but you must subdue it." Gen. 4:7

Obedience has been at the heart of so many of my recent conversations & this verse continues to come to mind.
The desire to disobey is not something only children or teenagers struggle with daily. We as adults are presented with obedience challenges every day.

Obey our boss... Obey our conscience... Obey traffic laws... Obey common sense...

Even though we are grown up, there are still people placed in our lives by God who we must obey. Just because we are over 21 and the rules arent coming from mom and dad - does not mean we get to play by our own rules.

Willful disobedience separates us from our Father and in that separation we lose sight of living the life we are called to live for Him. These conversations I have had over the last few weeks have really caused me to take a strong look at my choices and my attitude towards obeying.

Obeying may not always be fun, it may not always make sense, and we may not always agree, but we are still told to DO WHAT IS RIGHT.

O B E D I E N C E obedience is the very best way to show that I believe...

From the mouths of babes and total truth.

I LOVE SHUTTERFLY
